Equipping Churches to Reach Out

Through assessments, consultation, and resources, we help Reformed congregations

develop and implement practical mission plans to reach their local community.

Founded with a Heart for the Local Church

Sycamore Tree Mission (originally known as GTA Urban Mission) was founded by a team of pastors and mission-minded lay members who shared a passion for helping their home churches engage more effectively with their local communities.

Recognizing the challenges their own congregations faced in understanding and reaching the diverse neighborhoods around them, they began to think intentionally about equipping churches—through dedicated mission pastors/workers, and congregation-wide discipleship—to reach out and build meaningful relationships within their local community.

“Just as Zacchaeus climbed the sycamore tree to see Jesus clearly, our mission is to help churches lift Christ high so the world may see Him.”
